Background
Over the next 25 years, San Bernardino County is projected to see a growth of over half a million people and a quarter million jobs. According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, the number of vehicles registered in San Bernardino County will grow by 370,000 during this time, all traveling on virtually the same roads and highways we have today. The San Bernardino County Transportation Authority’s (SBCTA) new SB Express Lanes on I-10 have added express lanes in each direction of I-10 in San Bernardino County from the Los Angeles County Line to I-15. The project is relieving congestion throughout the corridor and providing trip reliability and time savings for those who choose to pay a toll and use the express lanes. Future additions to the express lanes network will include SB Express Lanes on I-15 between the Riverside County line and Foothill Boulevard in Rancho Cucamonga.
